Thanks for the comments!

Mark - The Raynox DCR5320 has 72mm lenses and is about 4" long. When it's stacked with the DCR250 I have a working distance of about 2" at full zoom. The onboard flash is useless with this combination. In fact the hardest thing is getting lightto the front of the subject. I normally shoot handheld with the Sunpak 383 mounted on a flexible flash bracket. That way I can position the flash and forget about it. Today I was using a tripod and no flash bracket, the first few shotsI was just moving the flash around and adjusting the output. I was tryingto get a feel for where I needed to hold the flash. Unfortunately about the time I was comfortabe with the flash position is when the slave started to malfunction.
