Not really a first. Lots of people keep turtles, either in their backyard ponds or like we do for land turtles. They are so much easier to keep then birds, that fly away, or mammels, that climb out of things and are always active. Turtles come out in the morning, eat, have a drink, then go snooze the day away. My kind of critter.

Happy, to echo everyone else's opinion, #2 is a killer shot. Sharp, great color and well framed.

Thanks Hiroshi. And also to everyone else who commented on number 2. That turtle is so colorful he makes it easy to take a good shot. He was one of the babies that we kept. They all hatch drab and we usually give them away not knowing how they will turn out, but that one we kept and he grew up and turned bright.
