Could you put a drop of honey or something similar on a thread and dangle it, focus, and then hope and pray one would come? Just a thoght.

I think its just going to be a case of sitting for a while and working out the fly`s regular route. The one in these pics was patrolling a very defined area of about 20ft square, and anything entering that zone was attacked immediately (even me on occasions lol).....I did notice it tended to hover for a while above the spot it was using to perch, but the winds at the time were buffeting it a bit so a sharp shot wouldnt have been possible while it was in flight. If we get a calm(ish) day I`m going to spend some time trying to get a few airborne shots as it`s something i`ve yet to attempt. Needless to say any success I have will be posted on here.
