Spotted a Chipping Sparrow. I am throwing seed down for now since the squirrels broke my feeder but I find that some birds prefer feeding on the ground, i.e. Sparrows and Juncos. Not too much photo shooting going on here. This morning was nice but we have snow on the way. Thankfully we won't get hit as hard as the northern parts of WI.

Nice shots of that pretty little bird. I see walnuts on the ground, do you have a tree?

These are good. I have recently had a go at taking bird shots though the birds were bigger and I had better light, so I know how hard it is to take shots like these. Well done.

Very nice shots of a very cute little sparrow. I will have to keep my eyes opend for one. I am not good at sparrows other then White-crowned and White-throated. I usually have to put my picture on the computer and then start comparing.

Missed these yesterday, apologies.
Nice shots Beth, small birds like these can be difficult to shoot due to their constant movement.....you did very well with these ones.I like the head markings on this one.

Thanks ya'll! They do move alot but this one had some really stationary moments. It sure is cute.

tcook, I believe it is a walnut tree. We are new to this little house. There were many old casings and am not sure how well this tree does so will find out this coming year.

Mark, if I could keep up with postings daily I would be Wonder Woman. :G

Oh, and happy_peasant, I often do compare birds but from within a book but I do have to reference my photos. Some sparrows are really similar. Awhile back I spotted a Song Sparrow and it took me awhile to figure out if it was a Song or a Savannah sparrow. )

2 lovely shots. Sparrows look so delicate and your pictures convey that feeling
