These are very nice shots. Vaiboys is not bad either. Even the tarp looks good. Are these larger then your usual subjects?

Thanks Annie and Happy. Yes, these are slightly larger than most of the species i`ve shot lately....although not by much, these are maybe 10mm or so long.

I like the lighting control of the first shot! pity the BG is abit cluttered. But thats the limitation of macros....you can't control where the subject lands! :lol:

Thanks mclui and Tchuanye. Yes you`re right, sometimes the backgrounds are out of our control. The weevil appeared in a small clear patch on the lawn so it was a case of shooting before it disappeared into the thicker grass.
