Ever wonder what happens to all the pieces of fishing line discarded by the water?

Very interesting nest indeed. Do you know what type of creature built it?

Probably it was built by a Northern (Baltimore) Oriole. I don't know if the nests are reused, and this is an old one, but I will keep my eyes open for an active nest and if I find one get a picture. This nest was there through the winter so it is at least a year old, but heck, that fish line lasts forever so it should still be a good nest.
