3 very beautiful shots that are well framed. I'mespecially partial to #2, but all are winners.

I must have overlooked this thread. Love these shots.....thats a really stunning looking species, and youve captured it really well.The 3rd pic i think shows how even brightly coloured birds can blend in, in the right habitat. Excellent.

Fantastic TEd. #1 &2 have a wonderful feel with that background so well separated. Looks like #1 was in mid-song. I really like the pose in 2. #3 ain't half bad either.

Thanks all for looking and the nice comments. I love these little birds but I haven't had very many this year because I had to take down their feeders. The seeds on the ground was starting to attract rats from a field near my backyard.

Wonderful, Ted. Beautiful bird and I am happy to see what they look like other than when they are wintering here. I like them in this order, #2, #1, #3, but then I am no judge of anything.

These are very nice. It appears your backyard is much more scenic then mine. If I ever get one there it will be with a city building in the back of the picture. Was he singing for you while you were taking pictures? They sound so nice.
