Well I finally made it back to the zooafter my last trip was cut short, due to rain. I really like the animals at the zoo but I'm not a fan of their enclosures. The primate and big cat enclosures are hard to shoot through, I managed a few shots but they could have been so much better. The reptile exibit was dark so I used the ledge under the glass to support the camera. It worked well except for the dirty glass and the more active critters. They are doing alot of construction out there so hopefully things will improve in the future.

Here's a few pictures and if you are interested follow this link to see them all. http://www.flickr.com/gp/[email protected]/EK67GK

White Peacock

Iguana

I like all of these, but the Iguana shot is fantastic.I love the lighting on that one.

I am happy to look at as many meerkat photos as you are willing to shot. Like the way you have done the white peacock, and the lighting on the iguana really works to make this a distinct and interesting shot, loveley detail

Thanks for viewing and commenting!

The iguana shot was a total fluke, sometimes you just get lucky. The iguana was right next to a lamp, and I was shooting in macro mode. The camera chose the exposure on that one,but I couldn't be happierwith how it turned out.

The Meerkat and Iguana pictures are outstanding.

The others are good too.

It appears you had a nice day. And if you did not mess with Iguana settings you lucked out big time. And the Meerkat is just plain cute.

Sven and Happy thanks for viewing and commenting!

The moniter lizzards are cool but most of them move around too much to get a good shot in the exibit.

Here's a few more shots.

Bearded Dragon

I don't remember the name of this one.

White Tiger

Prairie Dog
