Lunch time walk along the river. The cormorants were too far away today, feeding in the middle of the river. I was left with the dusky moorhens and the silver gulls. Still not too bad for the middle of the city. I was actually reasonably happy with these. Happy for any C&C

Whilst there I photographed the big ferris wheel. Had a bit of a play in Lightzone on it. More than I normally do in PP. I squeezed the mid-tones into an impossibly small area and increased the blue saturation. Whilst not what it really looked like, I kinda like it.

These are really good Raf....excellent detail on all the bird shots, and you got good exposure on the white areas of the Gull.I would have been extremely pleased with these too.
Great effect you managed in the wheel shot, the clouds in particular look very nice.

Nice and detailed on the birds. The wheel has sort of a silvery feel to it.

All good and sharp shots and the sun & clouds behind the Ferris wheel add to the whole composition of the shot.

But my favorite is #4 because of the lighting on the bird and the dappled background

nice shots raf......and as hiroshi said the wheel/clouds/sun were well framed and composed......as for the gulls......pesky little buggas.......but they are readily available and very photogenic..... and most times gull shots look great.........like the commorant shot too with its bum in the air.... probably adjusting its scope to poop one down on us unsuspecting humans..........well done....pete

Mark, Happy, Hiroshi, Annie and Peter, Thanks for your kind words.

Peter the brown birds are dusky moorhens, the cormorants were too far out yesterday.

Nice shots Rafael, I like the gulls best. I also like your perspective on the Ferris wheel.
