This nylon string was well tangled in the tree, but that did not stop the Robin from trying to pull it off for nesting material. Bird was still at it when I left the area after ten minutes or so.

Yep genetics, really drives creatures. When its time for nesting its time for nesting. Great series showing us nature at work. Nice shots too as always.

Nice shots Happy, the ones with the wings outstretched (2,3 and 5) are great captures, with 3 being my favourite.

Hmm. Never thought of that. Wasn't necessary with this bird, but all those other ones . . . .

Hey Happy, a wonderful series. We only have the robins here for a short time as this is a winter layover for them.
