Well I have been getting frustrated with my optical slave and it's sporatic performance lately. I check everything before I get outside and it works fine, then when it's time to shoot nothing happens. I'll spend 15-20 minutes messing with it trying to get it to work. Just when I think it's okay it stops working again. I ordered a couple of new slaves to try out but they wont be here 'til sometime next week.My next camera will have a hotshoe,it's the only thing that I dislike about the FZ7.

Today, I was able to get a couple of shots though. I paid a visit to the labyrinth spider. It has been doing alot of work to it's nest. The labyrinth spider uses debris and the carcasses of it's meals to build a nest for itself in the middle of it's web.

Then I spotted this soldier fly in our orange tree

This spider and web is really fascinating! The detail is quite nice. :O) Great detail in the fly too.

Interesting catch there! Seems it keeps its food where it actually rests!

Thanks for the comments everyone, I really apreciate it!

Every time I look at the labyrinth spiders nest it has changed. When I get a more reliable slaveI'll try to get some pictures of the spider making home improvements.
