Mark & Sven, thanks for the nice comments

Sven....now all we have to do is come up with $700k + tax + the needed electonics + survival gear + water-maker + wind generator, solar panels & extra batteries.....provisions.....etc. etc. etc......totalling a cool $1 million and were off.:bye:...first stop the south pacific and island hop until we drop:?

Or there is always the Lin & Larry Pardey's way...I'll be posting an intimate look at "Teleisin", their 29ft engine-less wooden boat that since its launch in 1983,has racked 80,000 miles sailing all over the world withoutGPS...just a sextant and 40 years of experience and skill.

Hiroshi

Boy, now I could sail with you on that thing. LOL. Very, very nicely done. I could kick in a few pennies, maybe even a few dollars.

But while we are dreaming of island hopping and beautiful ports and seas, take a look at the following website. For even better photos, download the powerpoint presentation. No limit to what money can buy. Notice what the annual upkeep is.

And here I am, going UHHH and AHHH over a pitiful little 49ft $700k boat......it's all relative isn't it:lol:.....$200 million...I can't even count that high:?....most of us just hope for a piece of the pie....others are not satisfied even if they own thecompany that makes it:G

Cheers, Hiroshi
