I toyed with going the DSLR route Tom, and came to the conclusion that to get the same versatility that my fz20 offers, with a few accessories, it would cost a small fortune in various lenses etc.
Personally, if i were to upgrade now it would be to a more up to date superzoom type camera like the fz50 or similar.I just think theyre far more versatile. You cant deny the superior image quality of a DSLR in the right hands though.....

If I stayed with Lumix that would be for exactly the same reasons.

Problem is so far I have found nothing to make me want to pull the trigger and buy.... when I compare xyz to the Lumix and if I am honest with myself, the D80 or 200 would be over kill. I am content to be a hobbyist and not a pro

Hmmm.. more food for thought. I may go get a 50 and try it out
Thanks.. need sanity in the forums like yours

I went over and took another look at the FZ50. I might have made a mistake doing that
Gosh, what a great camera for what it offers in use ability for the kind of pictures I take.

Darn.. held the K10 as well... FZ is just a one of a kind
