I don't dare to take such "close" shots of people and our town is not big enough for such impressions. We don't even have shoe shine mans!

Hello Sven,

That is the magic of the Panasonic Zoom most of these shots were done at 420mm.

As for the Shoeshine man, he is a relic of the past. I have not seen one in NY for a long time maybe I do not frequent the right territory and so I just could not miss the opportunity. I shot this from behind a car waiting for the light to change.

You know I like all my images; fall in love with a few. It gives me such joy to see the results I envisioned on the monitor. When people say they likemy work my first instinct is.... really?



I usually choose B&W when colors detract and distract.





Everything in this shot, except for the railing, belongs to this person. I think because of the flowers a women.Makes me sad.


Some times, I do this. BTW, that was the exact hair color.
