Lastly, it never ceases to amaze me how plants can take advantage of the smallest opportunity to grow......this Ivy was growing in a half inch gap between path and house wall......looked better to me in B+W (with a touch of red)....

Almost missed these. Now don't get me wrong, I quite like your insects, but I think you showed a bit more of your creative flair in these. All are quite nice with interesting perspectives, but I just love #2. I have a thing for monotone shots where people show interesting variations on the one tone and this shot has it in spades, also beautiful curves that seem to lead your eye all around. Well done.

Thanks Rafael, i`m glad you like these. I find shots like this difficult a lot of the time, I can see how I want the shot to look in my minds eye but getting the image on camera is often a struggle.Occasionally the shots come out as I pictured them....and sometimes I just get lucky when shooting random stuff. It`s something I need to work on i think...

I agree that trying to achieve a shot that has an element of art about it is more difficult, and to achieve it through a planned shot even more so. Still it is part of the joy of this hobby, once you get technically competent, you still have that whole artistic mountain to climb. Lead on!
