I think macro shooting can be pretty frustrating at times....aswell as the instances you mention of not having camera turned on etc......i`ve found wind to be a nightmare blowing subjects around....and the other day I came across 2 beautifully lit garden spiders on their webs....went in to get the camera and came out to find 2 sparrows hovering in front of the webs picking the spiders off....gotta have patience in this game!! :-):-)

Nice macros you have there!!!! And glad to hear that you have your camera back. Just in time for the nice weather..
