Took this closeup shot of an Amaryllis at my dads a while ago. For no reason other than boredom today I decided to mess around with it switching colour channels etc....this one was just using the "negative" function on Irfanview......i think it gives an almost 3D effect with the stamens sharply focussed and the rest of the image soft....they almost seem to jump out at you....

They jump out at me in both shots. I do like the way you changed the first one though.

I quite like your treatment. I think though it works OK becase the original shot is OK. I seldom see bad shots made good through PP effects.
