A branch leads to the main subject makes the whole thing very interesting.Still one thing I wanted to ask you ,why ,in most of your bird pictures,I see this purple finge(?) at the edges and some purple dots on your image.Did you noticed it??

My camera has chormatic aberration at full zoom, and the tele converter when used intensifies the effect. I usually don't find birds in bright enough light to use a smaller aperture, which is supposed to diminish the effect. These little birds have a lot of that effect built into them though.
