New to photography would very much welcome comments on attached. This has simply been downloaded and has not been 'touched' in any way. Many thanks

Hi GJH,

Welcome around!

About the picture; the composition of the canal looks attractive, but the boat being right in the middle doesn't add a lot that way (Please don't take offence; trying to be constructive). If you're shooting subjets capable of moving (fauna/vehicles for example) it's more attractive to compose it a little off-centre, with more space between it, and thedirection of motion/looking. Can't really explain why, but it works.
Must admit it's difficult to achieve in a picture like this one because the boat isn't really going left or right

Keep shooting a lot, and it will come to you

Cheerio! Suitcase

Seems to be a well-done shot. Enjoy your FZ7; I sure enjoy mine.
