Other than the other shots, I manage to see the Green Crab spider (GCS) feasting on the leafhopper/planthopper? As there were many of these leafhoppers, it is a matter of time where they land wrongly and right on the leaf where the GCS is waiting. Saw 3 different GCS feasting on the hopper! Did not manage to shoot the last one.

Another excellent series Tan. The closer shots in particular are really well taken.

Thanks Sven, Mark!

Sven, saw your shots before you took them out.....impressive! considering it is straight out from the Sanyo w/o any add on!

Tan, I did not intend to "disturb" your thread too much.

It was a nice coincidence that we saw a similar "crime" on the same day, some thousand kilometers apart.

This version is smaller:

--- expandable pictures - just click ---

The offender

The victim

The act

All this was taken at distance of 2cm without any additional optics or light: Sanyo xacti E6:
With advanced xactis, film and pictures can be taken at the same time ;-)
The quality cannot be compared toyour excellent shots, but this minature cameras can be carried around all the time.
I start to miss the "0 cm macro mode" with the lumix sometimes.

Cheers

Sven

Tchuanye, that is a great series I especially like #6! Those green crab spiders are reaally crazy looking, they almost look "radioactive" like something out of the toxic avenger.

Sven that is an awesome series too, and it's really cool that you were both shooting basically the same thing, thousands of miles apart!
