I don't know what this flower is; it was attractive enough to shoot and post.

A very nice shot, and it does somewhat resemble a sponge. Nice. Hope you all had as nice a Mother's Day as we did. Don't know if that is a special day in your country. It should be special every day.

I think you got the name right. Sure looks to be a Sponge Ball flower to me. Nice shot.

Thanks, Jerry, Steve, Ted and Mark - I understand its name is Enterolobium contortisiliquum, colloquiallythe "Earpod Tree". The size is approx 1 inch dia.
