seems to me the wide angle and macro portions are quite acceptable - especially the macro - though the wide-angle doesn't give you a LOT more than the basic lens (as Fred mentioned, it's probably more like .8x, certainly nowhere near .45x. but the telephoto converter is, frankly, a paperweight. that's commonly the case with inexpensive kits like this... it's fairly easy to make a decent close-up lens, and even a wide angle converter isn't hard to do. but making a teleconverter that will remain sharp and not introduce excessive chromatic aberration is a very tough nut to crack. so... for $60, you got areasonably good, if not terribly powerful, close-uplens with a decent wide-angle converter. toss the teleconverter in the dumpster, and you've still done reasonably well.
