Hi,

I've been looking to get a bolt on conversion lens for my FZ8 for a couple of months.

Anyway the ebay bargain appeared so I thought I'd take the plunge.

Before doing so I read lots of posts and everyone said stay away from them all ... to paraphrase "if it says titanium - pro etc etc run away" . . . .

But no one (not that I could find anyway) had actually bought them and the ones that had didn't give a clear enough account of the pros and cons of these lenses.

I know the panasonic/canon/olympus lenses are good but frankly I dont have the £80/$160 per lens those type of lenses cost available to me currently as we're saving for our wedding.

For our honeymoon we are of to Kenya and as part of that we'll be going on safari so a: thats why I bought the FZ8 and b: that's also why I wanted the addon lenses.

.... so .....

Please take into the account the following review is a first for me and more importantly I'm certainly no pro photographer in fact barely average :-)

I paid £30/$60 for the following kit +£10/$20 delivery from the US to UK.

ps: I also know this is in the wrong section, but as this is the forum section I'm active in thought I'd post it here first !!!!

This is the kit...

as you can see for the £30/$60 I got quite a bit of kit and all very nicely presented.

I got a Wide Angle Lens / Telephoto Lens / Filter kit /Cleaning kit and the cheapest tripod ever seen by man

As you'll notice I want to let the pictures do the talking rather than going on ....

So I decided to take a picture of a coin, this is mounted on a manfrotto tripod using manual focus to get as close as possible to the subject.

(I forgot to mention ... told you it was my first time ... that I've not edited the images in any way, I've used the JPG that is produced when a RAW image is created in order that this is as fair as possible)

Firstly the coin as standard no crop no addon lense
