shots like these are one reason i hang onto my FZ20... it takes sunsets better than any other camera i've used, including my 30D!!

I too prefer the zoomed in shot, though the other isn't bad by any means.

thanks for the comments! actually, the zoom on these was about the same - 7.8x for the first one, 7.5x for the second. i think i tend to prefer the first because it has more contrast, and the clouds look a little more dramatic...

Excellent captures of the sunset. I agree with you Squirl, its hard to beat the "Leica" glass!My preference is the second one because of the cloud formation. Nice to see your postings again.
