Managed a few more Hoverfly shots today around the garden pond.....

Also managed to capture a new species for the garden.....a Cream spot Ladybird, not a great pic but I was pleased just to get a shot or two.

I am impressed with the quality of photos, Mark. It is always perplexing to me how you, Tan, and Vaiboy can take such closeups, so sharp and clear.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Jerry, cant speak for Tan and vaiboy but the flash helps a lot in freezing camera shake in my shots.Unless I can get really high shutter speeds I use the flash every time.Bracing the camera against something where possible helps too, or, as I do, using a tripod on 2 legs like a monopod.
