No. 1 is excellent. I love the composition - the way the statue is sillohetted (sp) against the sky and the way the clouds obscure the sun. The whole image is very moody. Well done.

Not that I don't like the normal photgraphy here I think it's great, but it does make a nice change to see something else !!

Keep it up jussi

What I'm now wondering is why I haven't seen those statues, how long have they been there do you know ?!!?!?

Cheers

Thank you everone for such encouraging comments...look forward to posting some other non convemtioanl subject matters in the future.

The No.1 was a lucky shot - I just liked the contrast of the clouds and the silhouette and could not see the sun as well though the viewfinder as it shows on the finished result! It does make an eerie athmosphere for the photo.

These statues have been up a few weeks now and will stay until July. Gormley has an exhibition going on at Hayward Gallery and actually all the men on rooftops are facing in the direction of the Gallaery no matter where they are. Any one with a chance should go and see them...a truly unique experience.

to telecorder...I love the one with two horses heads!

Rafael I shall go and have a look at yours now!

Thanks again!

Like your pics Rafael...Thanks for the link! I liked numbers 8, 18, 21 and 30 especially. Great shots and excellent eye for the right shot!

Your description was right on. I can see how these would stick in your mind afterwards.

Very nice series.
