I went to see the installation by Antony Gormley here in LOndon which takes place all over the South Bank and the opposite side of the river. There are 31 statues on top of rooftops.

At first you don't notice them but then you start seeing them everywhere. It is quite an eerie piece of work. You feel sad for the statues somehow...and they stay in your mind afterwards somehow as they stare into the distance silently.

I don't know if this kind of stuff is of interest to anyone in this forum as it tends to be animals and flowers mostly plus the odd nice scenario.

I did go to the Horseguards Parade as well and will post some of those more conventional photos later.

Love public art. I have in my time posted some of these
http://rafael.zenfolio.com/p443166915/

#1 and #4 are particularly powerful. Whan art is good it really speaks to you. Most of my stuff above is whimsical but I can see how this would have a different effect. I for one enjoyed these, so please don't feel that nature is the only subject. I need some other urban shooters to talk to as well as enjoying the nature stuff.

Ienjoy looking atstreet art, as I do enjoy looking at macro, nature and peoplephotography. We should not be restricted/confined in one or two photographysubjects. I find your series to be very exiting andpleasing, especially number 1, 2, and 4. The composition and subject selection is excellent. Thanks for posting.

Are the statutes anticipated to remain or for just a while?

To add to your'street art images', downtown Scottsdale, AZ has a few thematic pieces...

I think those photos are really neat. My favourite is the first one in the darkness against the light as it really stands out!!

I agree that whatever is of interest to you, you should post and it is probably where you will do your best work!! I enjoy seeing everything as I learn more that way and see things that I might not even think of taking a photo of and you can some great perspectives from the other people who post.
