The birds are starting on their second family this year. For this particular pair they are just moving into their new home



and are still decorating the inside.



Looks like they better finish decorating soon.

Lovely series Ted. I won't show the wife she will only use it as an excuse to tell me off for playing at photography rather than making with house chores like the birds.

I have read somewhere the female mate only with those who have a proper house to boost( So typical isn't it??).Well Here he has a masion to boost.I think he can afford a haram.:G:G

Thanks everyone for looking and the nice comments. We have had that birdhouse for several years but this is the first time birds have nested in it.

Ted, a wonderful series, the roses are beautiful. A picture perfect setting. And the birdhouse, what creativity someone, (you?) had in making it. Love the design and use of molding and rosette. The roost at the entrance was great use of an old fork. Love it, hope to make a house like that soon and do have a lot of old odd scraps, molding, etc.

Yep, I made the birdhouse using old picture frames, spindles cut in half and other old junk. I made about 10 similar to that and had a lot of fun doing it but have not made any for quite a while.
Don't wait, start making them and have fun!!!
