Can anyone recommend a decent wide-angle lens for my FZ50 without paying the ridiculous prices Panasonic want to charge?!

Any suggestions much appreciated.

Ta!

I have an alternative adapter myself (FZ30 but the connetion is the same). I am loathe to recommend it as people need to understand the limitations. Here is a recent post where I tried to do a bit of a review, very much an amateurs review admittedly.

Another recent post on this forum for another alternative

I would also have a look at this link

I think there is probably not a perfect lens and you just need to understand what the compromises are.

Carefully note therisk of a soft-spot in the centre of a picture with the use of the Oly Wcon07

I have not encountered this problem, but i'm using a thin glass uv-filter in between. Lensflare is likely to occur in any backlight or other spot-highlight situations. As far as i've read about it, it seems to occur with any wide converter because of the large, bent front lens.
