I'm in the process of purchasing a wide angle adaptor for my FZ30. There are so many alternatives out there but I narrow it down to three. 1) Schneider-Kreuznack 0.7 X 55 mm (German made for Kodak) 4 elements in 4 groups all glass, 2) Olympus WCON 0.7 X55 mm 4 elements 4 groups, and 3) Raynox DCR-6600 Pro 0.66 wide angle, 3 elements 3 groups. I would appreciateyour input andknowledge in deciding which one is best for this camera as all of them are made bygood manufacturers. The price is almost identical. If you have an alternative suggestion, please let me know.

Thanks very much in advance.

Emmanuel,

I cannot comment on any of the others, but I did post the Raynox a little while ago.

unfortunately I took down the example photos, but the conclusions still stack up.

The Raynox product produces soft edges. I have heard good things about the Schneider but my choice for the FZ30 is the WCON07. If you want to seethese imageslarger click on the picture and you will open a new browser window. Then click on the expand Icon in the lower right corner.
