Recently took a trip down to Tokyo for my friend's bachelor party. While I'd love to show the photos of the night's festivities, I don't think they would be appropriate for this forum:-). Nevertheless, we did take it easy during the day at the famous Meiji Jingu Park downtown. It really is an oasis of calm in the madness that is Tokyo.

The typical Tokyo scene

Meiji Jingu Park entrance gate, known as a torii.

Modernity, old Japan and nature all in one.

It was a beautiful day.

My acrobatic friends...and this was before the drinks:-)

Thanks for looking!

Now I knew about the 'madness' as you call it of Tokyo but not about the lovely park. Really like #2, and great captures on the acrobatic friends.

The last two shoots of them doing the flip are cool - was just wondering if you used the on-board flash to make the colours pop a it more. The first - a nice street shot of downtown tokyo.

Cheers

No flash used in any of the pictures. I did crop and tweak the levels/saturation on the last two shots, they were a bit dark because ofthe high shutter speed. I lucked out in the first one with the sun shining from above, I thought it was a cool effect:-).

Good to see you posting again, Harj!
