Pt4 of my photo series is on elephants. They are majestic creatures who seem to be the "actual" kings of the jungle. Having seen them in the wild I have to say that have become by far my favourite animals (my dog excluded ).

The one thing I didn't expect was quite how human they are... eg watching a baby drinking from a watering hole it kept falling in and you could see the adults around her helping her back up the steep slope... only for her to slip down the slope again and again... this was amazing to watch.

This will be posted up in two batches the first now ....

Thanks for watching and commenting!!

You gotta stop making me jelous. :-):-)

Fantastic series. #1 and #9 are stand outs. The colours and textures in 1 and the composition in 9. Keep 'em coming.

Great series. #3, 6, 9, 11 my favourites.

The tawney colours of the veldt and the red earth took me back to my youth (I was born and raised in Zambia .... many, too many, years ago!).

Nice. I like 7 and 11 best. I can feel the motion in 9. If the elephant was coming this way instead of going that way it would be s show stopping picture for sure.

I really enjoyed your shots. There is something about #6 that brings me back to look again and I think it is the elephants eye.

Thanks a lot guys for all of your comments. This is most certainly my favourtie series from Kenya. The funny thing is Elephants are the easiest animal to photograph on safari as they are so big and easy to spot but after seeing hundreds each day I still never got bored as they are such majestic animals.

Thanks again really appreciate it....

think its just lions and other animals to go now in pt5 .... although that's a fare amount of editing to do !!
