I had a lot of closed wing shots to choose from for this butterfly, but that one sort of open wing shot is the only shot I have ever taken where the butterfly did not have it's wings clamped together out of four or five different snouts I have photographed. Some butterflies just make it hard to get that kind of shot. Thanks for commenting.

p.s. I think this is the post that broke the forum since it went down Saturday a few minutes after I started the thread.

so do I blame you for not getting my regular dose of photographic enjoyment or praise you for being a consistent contributor to my enjoyment of this forum ?......let's go the latter it has better long term prospects!:-)

Just because I said that was the only open-wing shot, I went out in the yard and there was one sunning himself on a bush and I got not one but two shots. I will have to post another time though as I am short on computer time now.
