Apologies for my absence the last couple of weeks, been sorting out a new laptop. Been pretty busy shooting a variety of subjects lately so i`ll make threads for each subject. These were taken in the last few days while experimenting with a Raynox DCR1540 tcon and a +1 closeup lens between tcon and camera, giving a working distance of around 1m. Very handy for skittish subjects. I didnt expect image quality to be very good but was pleased with the clarity of these shots....

#1 Common Darter

#2 Common Darter again....

#3 Small Skipper

#4 Small White

#5 Meadow Brown (battle scarred specimen)

Feedback always welcome....

You are right. Not much wrong with the clarity. All clear and sharp.

Detail looks great. Love the colors on the skipper and flower.

Very nicely captured Mark. Number 3 and 5 are my favorites.

Nice and sharp I would say. You are right about that battered butterfly. Seems to be the time of summer for that as the first (or second) brood wanes.
