Took the opportunity to take some of the dogs out to Blackpool at the weekend. It's been the first day for about 4 weeks that it hasn't rained. Some interesting sculptures on the front:-

Apparently it's called "They shoot horses don't they?" and is the worlds largest rotating mirror ball.

EDIT: Apparently the wife informs me this is a tribute to a Disco Dancing movie of the same name!!!

The UK Red Arrow display team returning back to Blackpool Airport after a display in the Lake District....oh why oh why didn't I pack my TCON-17 !!!!

Nice sculptures. Strange that one, but interesting nevertheless.

Had you packed your TCON you would have had closer looks at the jets but I don't think the effect would have been improved any. The shots with the trails look fine to me the way they are.
