Above shots taken in the backyard. I know I posted an open lotus before, but this bud was just so pretty. The Ambush Bug is not perfect, but I have never seen one in the yard before so I don't feel like another chance will come soon.

Beautiful captures Steve. Menacing lookinglittle beast! Through macrophotography, andphotography in general has opened upa new world, enabling us to see and enjoy nature's little and big wonders.

Thanks for looking and commenting Rafael and Emmanuel. It is rather nice that macro photography shows us things we might have missed otherwise. This bug was really quite small and I am glad he was there so I could take his picture and see how interesting he looks enlarged.

The Lotus exhibits as much beauty as the Ambush Bug exhibits intimidation .
I love opposites and you have nailed it Steve .
The perfect shot can be quite elusive, you are right to grab a rare moment as best you can.

Thanks for looking and commenting tinosa and Raghu. Glad you like my unmatched set. Although the bug did not stay long, he was almost easier then the lotus. I still haven't fully captured the essence of the plant. (at least to my mind.)
