Bayou Belle had been looking for postcards of Plaquemine, unable to find any she decided to make her own. The followingare a few photos she took from Plaquemine's recently contructed water park at the old Plaquemine Locks, now a museum.

And the old lockhouse, built by Col. Goethalsof the Panama Canal fame. He built both locks, this one first.

Very nice indeed. The last three would make perfect postcards.

Looks like Bayou Belle has a future in Post Cards. Does she still let you play with the FX01?

Thanks, she does have a better eye at composition than I do. I like the way she framed the church and auxilliary building in the first photo. She appreciates your comments.

She will let me show her something on it, as how to set different exposures, flash on, off, auto, etc., but mostly she has it to herself. Once in a while, I get to take a couple shots. I am mostly responsible for its upkeep and keeping batteries charged.
