I could not take pictues of these guys when they land on my elbow or the back of my neck, but this one was more cooperative.

1. Hackberry Butterfly on foot.

After he was on my foot awhile I was afraid he would pinch his probiscis under my sandel strap, so I put my finger there to scare him off. But he was not to be deterred.

2. Hackberry Butterfly on finger tip.

I have to sneak up just to get close to one and you have them landing on your hand, I am envious. Good shooting Steve.

Great shots!

I have to hunt the critters down, too!

What is your showergel?

Must be something very floral;-) , we need to know what you use, so we can be tasty to the little critters as well! And get pics closer to what you already have taken!

Or we shower the girl of our choice with the stuff and get incredible beautifull ladies clothed in Butterflies. Dunno if that would be artsy, but I shure would like to take that pic!

Cheers,
RealMash

Thanks for commenting Ted and RealMash. It was nothing fancy on me that made me attractive to these guys. They just liked plain old sweat I'm sure.

Steve, if sweat was the answer, I would defnitely be covered with creatures, but it seems all I can attract is mosquitoes and gnats.

Very nice captures. I too, am jealousy.

Thanks for commenting Jerry. What can I say? I guess it just depends on what kind of butterflies you have around. This species is so fast and spooky if not for the ones that thought I taste good I would have nothing but blurs.
