One of the mantids is wiping off water and showing off his grabbing leg.


Same mantis a little while later after yet more rain. I do not think he is happy.



Edited to add. That's about how I feel, although it was drier today, just very humid.

Thanks for comments Tony and Jerry. The second shot is a winner, but I had to post the first one also just because I was so entranced with those spiky legs.

Darn. I was going to go out and take anothe picture or tow and it is raining again.
Although I imagine it is probably rainy these days in bayou country what with the storms.

Those are great shots happy! You and a few others make it look so easy.These shotsmake my spider look like a beginner took it. I just can't get the hang of the macro lenses with their short DOF and just have to go with the camera macro. I have a Nikon 6T that I'm thinking of giving up on and selling just for that reason.
