Go for the FZ50.

I came off a trip to Yellowstonewhere Itook about 900 shots with it ( new FZ50 camera) in the 16:9 aspect ratio format. They turned out superb. Many times you will need the 400 mm +long zoom lens and the 35 mm end of the lens also. I leave the focusing on automatic and manually zoom what I need. Check out all my shots in this forum. The lodge pole pine tree was a 35 mm shot. All others shots various zoom configurations. This camera is a fast shooter with not much noticable time lag between shots.

You can buy it for $450 new from Abes of Maine.

Important notes: I only use ISO 100. If youneed higher ISOs expect picture noise to increase moreso than with some other cameras. Dont use the "digital" zoom at all. Optical zoom only. Set "all" your picture adjusting parameters -PICT. ADJ.- to Low for finest detail rendition. Do jpeg adjusting work on your computer using Paint Shop Pro XI or similar programs.

Hope this helps,

Tom

Hi Simbapimba,

thanks for the reply,it helps a lot.

Opps..No high ISO? Really a lot of noises?
Seems the Wide and Tele lens are useful with the IS function. But only in 100 ISO...haa..

How about compare with the S9600/9100?Will get more picture quality?ofcause Fuji itself din't built-in the IS function.
