I used zoto for my photos but for some reason I can't get the site to work with IE7. In looking for another site I've found that they strip the exif from my photos when posting them. Does anyone have a site that does not do this.

I`ve just recently opened a Flickr account Don, and the exif can be viewed via a link next to the image....may be worth a look for you.
Heres the link to my Flickr page so you can see what I mean....on the right hand column where it says additional information click the link that says more properties...

Smugmug offers EXIF to some extent from an "Info" button that will appear if your mouse hovers over an image for a second or two.

Ensure your "view" is "Smugmug" (top right) and a menu will pop up over the large image on the right.

This is what I mean. You have to include a link back to the exif data on all the sites I've looked at. With zoto the exif was still in the photo so anyone with an exif extractor could just right click on the photo and the info. came up. I really miss that and most of the postings these days have the exif stripped.

See what you mean now Don....pbase appears to retain exif attached to an image as i`ve just tried right clicking a pbase image on another forum.....came up no problem.

I use Imageevent as a host of some photos and if I upload a reduce size photo and post that same size on a forum like this the exif will be included.....but if I post a reduced size photo the exif will not be included am I making any sense......

I will include 2 photo to try and explain what I am saying

This is the size I uploaded to them and the exif is included

And this is a reduced size and the exif is not included

I think many sites work the same way

Genece, That's kind of a problem for those of us who are used to checking exif data in an attempt to learn something. I always thought (until now) that when I saw a photo with no exif data that it was because the person had edited the photo and saved it the wrong way. Now I see that the photo sites are doing this for some reason. Every siteI have checked with so far strips the data from the picture. I wish zoto would get their act together so I could use them again. I liked their site but have to use FireFox to get into it. I don't really want to do that.

Ain't this interesting...

So I went back to my Smugmug site and opened the images in different sizes. All sizes smaller than or equal to Large have the EXIF stripped. Anything larger has EXIF info I can view.

I normally resize my images to 1024x768 or similar when uploading.

I'm using OPanda IEXIF viewer.

Don,

Not sure if you were after a paid or unpaid site. I use zenfolio, which is a paid site, and it includes exif on all size images.

Not sure about free sites though.
