Interesting shots, Raghu.
Do we know what is causing the increased brightness? Just the fact that it is getting closer??
Also checked out the photo gallery on SpaceWeather. Most interesting. Thanks for the reference.

Thanks for the additional reference, Raghu. Some amazing photos!!!

Did not know that comets could be periodic in brightness.

Very nice captures. I should get my telescope out of mothballs and start looking at the night skies again. Hope I can locate the various eyepieces. Wonder if I can adapt the FZ30 to it.

I spotted comet Holmes the other night with some binoculars. I started wondering if I could get a good pic of it with my FZ-30.

It was hard as hell to get the camera aimed just right since I couldn't see anything through the viewfinder/LCD.

I did manage to capture a couple of decent shots. It really makes me wish this comet had a good tail.

Raghu - I like your wide shot with the palm tree. Very good for only 8 seconds exposure.

It also gives a good reference of where to look to find comet Holmes. I had a tough time finding it as Cassopia was my closest reference, and it's not really close to it.

I guess if I tell people here to look just left of the palm tree, that wouldn't be much help though, would it? "There's no palm tree in my yard, so I couldn't find it!". :G

Nice shots, RedStickMan. How I wish I had a FZ30! I am beginning to feel the limitations of FZ3. Am waiting to upgrade - lets see.

Well, in the last few days Steve's has posted both the FZ18 and the FZ50 reviews. That must be a sign of something.
