Just a few shots with movement. Maybe as gentle as a ripple. Or a bit faster.

1. Not as processed as it looks. Crack of dawn. 1/80 second. A dog spooked them. I tracked them a bit for the shot.

2. Ripples from one duck are nothing great.

3. But add another and be lucky and this is the result.

4. There's a better bug over there.

5. The Zoo pond has a few mergansers. They are a lot easier to get close to there then when I see them in a a non-zoo pond.

You are right Steve, the first does look 'processed' I suspect it is the pan making the background look odd. Great colour and detail on #2, and a wonderful capture on #3, the X is perfect. Love the action in #5 as well, with the perfectly still eye at the centre. Very enjoyable set.

Well done on these Steve, the first shot must have been difficult under those conditions.

Nice shots. I particularly liked the two swimming birds shot. Have you applied noise remover?

Thanks for commenting everybody. Glad you like the birds.

Ted, it was not all that difficult although I was lucky the gulls came out as well as they did. I was just walking into a flock on the beach and saw the dog out of the corner of my eye and knew what would happen and which way they would go so I could take advantage of the situation. Raghu, I ran it through Neat Image, although I may have turned it way down so as not to lose any ripple detail.

Wonderful captures Steve. I like the composition and timing on the first and the sharpness and colours on the second.
