This top photo not the greatest as he was not the subject of the shot. But when I saw the pose on the computer I cropped the subject away and saved this one.

In the World's Largest Gull post, I added a bird after the first few comments. If you saw the post but not the added bird shot you should see it as it is a bit funny. The shot below is one frame prior to that one in burst mode.

Nice captures Steve. Maybe the first one thinks it's a male dog beside a fire hydrant.:G

Thanks for looking and commenting Don and Rafael. Interesting to see thoughts you came up with. People on flickr have come up with "pee like a dog", "handicapped bird" and "Aerobic exercises". Plus maybe the water was too cold. The one who said her first thought was pee like a dog also came up with probably stretching. I think she may have figured it out.

Looks like its giving its leg and rest and using its wing as a crutch :-)

Like the second shot Steve, nice detail on that one.

Just scratchin' — birds suffer a lot from lice.

Thanks for thoughts Mark, Idle and Jerry. Maybe scratching but wing in a not usual position compared to the usual scratchers I see. But then, if it does have lice maybe they hang out under the wing.
