Why can you not get to the menu......put the lcd on ..then turn themode dialto the green arrow, then push the "set" button on the jog dial (cursor button) and then make sure the menu is on the green arrow and not the wrench......then the up arrow on the jog dial(cursor button) 1 timeand you are at Format.....push the right arrow then the up arrow to yes and then push "set"

This jog dial (cursor button) is not the joystick but the black button about the size of a quarter. (Page 9 of the manual item 15)

i put the card in the camera. Turn it on with the dial set to the green arrow. I get the message that there is a problem with the card, please remove it and insert it again. I can not get to the menu by. I push the menu button and nothing happens. The error message stays on the screen.

Oh if there is a problem with the card you can try a format in the computer with the Panasonic utility....let me see if I can find it......but you are pushing the center of the menu button where it says set?

here it is

http://panasonic.jp/support/global/c...aq/formQA.html

direct link to the formatter

http://panasonic.jp/support/global/c...formatter.html

How old is this card ...most have a warranty

And you need a SDHC card reader to try the format or at least I think you do.

nice, i just read on your link to panasonic that the sofware is not mac compatible.

I just bought the card and received it yesterday. It came with a usb 2.0 reader. So it looks like i wont be able to format it.

I do appreciate you looking into this for me. I will contact the supplier and see about shipping it back.

Well you can try a format just using the MAC....or perhaps call the Mfg of the card and see what they suggest.

There may also be a mac compatible formatter , but I have no interest in it.
