I placed a Herkimer diamond crystal on the head of a small carved turtle, placed it in front of a pic of my wife and I in the Smokies, and shined a green laser on it. I added the green border on the computer. I think it turned out kinda cool...

The turtle has some personal meaning for me--it is my totem.

Thanks!

The original pic was taken with a basic Kodak digital by my daughter. I used my Panasonic to take this pic.

The turtle represents "new beginnings and an end to grieving about the past"--it came to me in a dream just before the wife and I had a big fight that could have been the end of our marriage---the result--a new beginning to our love and a stronger marriage than ever. We just celebrated our 17th anniversary!!

Very nice. That lighting on the crystal is most fine.

Thanks--Here is another from the same series. All were hand held, and done on the spur of the moment, camera in one hand, laser in the other. A tripod would have been a good idea...

The turtle dream I had was extremely vivid. I was standing outside the tent I was sleeping in that night. I heard an eagle screech and looked up, seeing an eagle with something in it's claws. The eagle dropped it's burden, and it landed at my feet--an upside-down turtle. I reached down and turned over the turtle.

At that point, I woke up with a start.

There is a fantasy writer named Terry Pratchett. English fellow. Wrote a book called Small Gods. You should read it. Starts off like your dream. Except for the tent.

Maybe I will check that out...thanks for the reference.

I am a person who enjoys his dreams, and dreams regularly. Perhaps only three in my 50 years were as vivid as this dream.
