Ever since I moved I have been trying to attract hummingbirds but have had no success until last week. I can't get a shot of the little beauty outside so I had to take the shot through the living room window.

A nice shot. I thought the hummers went to South America for the winter. But it seems you must have them year round.

Very nicecatch Ted. The picture is nice and sharp considering it was taken through the window!

Nice capture. We won't see any of those beauties again 'till spring. You have some might clean windows. :]

Thanks all for looking and the nice comments. As for clean windows it must have been a combination of an overcast day and full zoom on the camera hiding the spots because I sure have not been washing them. :G

Nice shot Ted. The window did not get in the way visibly, but I am sure when you can get a shot outside it will be a stunner.

Sure is a cute little bird. And nicely shot. Why can't you get a shot outside? Shyness?

Very Good, Tcook.

There are too many things in the frame, but I see you re at full zoom.

Colors, esposition and sharpness are ok, and the branches frame him nicely, except for that one on the beak.
Very good pic, it seems you're definitively in touch with your FZ50

Thanks Steve and Francesco.
Yes Steve the Hummer is shy right now and the bush it sits in is in an area nest to the house with not much room. In the spring when the weather improves I will try to attract it to another area where I can sit outside and watch it.
