I'm super impressed with the quality of the Leica lens on this baby. This was shot in fairly low light with a monopod. I cropped and resized the original. No other PP was done.

Took all of these at a local park. Out of 40 pics I got 4-5 good ones. Once again, no sharpening or PP other than crop and resizing done.

Now for the touristy shot. A huge Gator. Did some PP enhanced colors a bit. No self respecting gator would leave home without makeup, right? lol.

Hope you all enjoyed my first pics with the FZ50!

Really good first shots, I snuck up on a gator yesterday, but he had his head buried in a stand of saw grass, so never did get the picture.

Nice pix!!!
I know you are going to really enjoy your new FZ50.
While the camera gives plenty of control at one extreme, it can also be very forgiving. My two grandsons aged 6 and 8 had a lot of fun trying out mine yesterday (auto mode & flash) and ended up with some really creditable shots. It was most interesting to see the world though childrens' eyes!!
Cheers ... and keep those photos coming.
