Congrats (in fact, double cheers) to rscholfield - for coming first in the main category and also finding a place in top ten in the open category.

Thanks very much, Raghu.

In your comment on my photo on the PanaChallenge site, you say, "I know this beginner!" I've never been to India (though I regret to this day never visiting my good friends who lived in Hyderabad for many years) so please tell me where we've met.

Or were you speaking figuratively because this was not an anonymous entry?

Congratulations on a well deserved win. It was my #1 pick.
two cents: I think that removing the water drops did a lot to add to the feel of the image.
the serenity of the calm water contrasted with the the action of the bird is what does it
for me and the splashing water would form a bridge that lessened that contrast.
Excellent photography !

Raghu,

I did not mean to imply that you were calling me a beginner (although I'm not much more than that). Deep down, I was hoping that there was a big story behind your message and that we were long-lost friends from school or whatever. :bye:

Best wishes,
