With a little help from a Nikon 3T and a Nikon 4T macro lens stacked together. I used auto-focus on this and some others and think it works a lot better on this camera then it did on the FZ7 when doing macros.

That's one sharp picture, Steve. Do you have the Pana lens adaptertube or you attached a step ring to the FZ18 lens and then the Nikonmacros to it?

Neither. First off, I will never attach anything to lens except a 46mm filter for protection. Have read a horror story about the lens not working with a converter attached.

For this shot; I used a 52mm K5 tube. 20mm long. Starting at camera, 55.8mm to 55mm step ring from Pemaraal. Next a 55mm to 52mm step ring. Then the K5 tube, then the macro lenses. I am using the K5 tube because I found it with an old 35mm film camera. Otherwise I would use my 55mm one inch spacer ring from camerafilters.com. I will have to try the one inch tube some day to see if auto-focus works as well with it. I imagine it would. This shot was taken at half zoom or so and the camera did not have a problem with the space between camera and macro lenses.

Very smooth sunset. They never look near that good here due to crummy Chicago air and manmade stuff in the way.
